I give thanks for my ancestors
Dear Beloved
In deepest gratitude I ask a blessing on all my Relations.
I give thanks for my ancestors whose bones became the sweet earth I now walk upon.
I give thanks for my lineage, for all those who went before me
for their hardships and their joy
and the gift of wisdom that their lives created.
I give thanks for my parents
for their love and sacrifice
for the safety I was born into
for the opportunities they worked so hard to create form me
for the fact that whatever befell our family, they always did their best.
I give thanks for friendship
for the sharing of soul stories
for the depth of understanding I share with others along the path
for all the help, guidance, and goodwill that I have given and received.
Above all
I give thanks for the gift of glimpsing who I am
for the gift of seeing The Christ in the eyes of another
for the understanding that all of us are one
one body, one blood, one cosmic dance
fashioned by Divine Grace from stardust.
